EVENTS THROWBACK
2024

Building on the enthusiastic response from participants, we continued the OSCE Study Group initiative in 2023. This program aims to provide enriching learning experiences through interactive mock OSCE sessions, guided by volunteer tutors, experienced supervising doctors, and lecturers from various dental universities.
Each session features four mock OSCE stations, with clinical year dental students serving as tutors and preclinical dental students simulating patients. This approach not only enhances the learning experience but also pre-exposes preclinical students to the OSCE format, preparing them for future assessments. Following the stations, sessions conclude with tips and tricks for mastering OSCE-type examinations. This collaborative platform provides a two-way learning experience, benefiting participants, tutors, and simulated patients.

With the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic affecting the teaching and learning process, we have decided to start an initiative to organize an online OSCE study group to provide learning opportunities from volunteer tutors and experienced supervising doctors in the comforts of their home.
There will be 3 mock OSCE stations in every group, and after that tips and tricks in practice for the OSCE-type examination will be covered. We hope that both the participants and tutors can benefit from this two-way learning process.
