Our two-day online webinar featured two engaging sessions by distinguished speakers. On the first day, Prof. Toh Chooi Gaik presented "The Malaysian Professional Qualifying Exam (PQE): Protecting the Public with Safe and Competent Dental Practitioners," providing participants with valuable insights into the importance of the PQE in ensuring competent dental practice. On the second day, A/P Dr. Mark Low Jun Fay delivered "Clear Communication in Endodontics for OSCE Exam," where participants gained practical communication skills and examination tips for endodontic OSCEs.
Both sessions were highly informative and greatly appreciated by the participants. We sincerely thank Prof. Toh Chooi Gaik and A/P Dr. Mark Low Jun Fay for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise with us.

The OSCE Case-Based Learning (CBL), organized by APDSA MD, provided valuable learning opportunities for dental students through interactive case-based discussions conducted virtually. The webinar featured six key dental disciplines—Periodontology, Paediatric Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Prosthodontics, Orthodontics and Endodontics—with experienced speakers sharing clinical knowledge and examination strategies to strengthen participants' preparation for the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). A heartfelt appreciation is extended to all the speakers, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions in making this webinar a success. Their commitment to advancing dental education is truly appreciated, and we look forward to future learning opportunities together.

WOW 3.0

Building on the enthusiastic response from participants, we continued the OSCE Study Group initiative in 2023. This program aims to provide enriching learning experiences through interactive mock OSCE sessions, guided by volunteer tutors, experienced supervising doctors, and lecturers from various dental universities.
Each session features four mock OSCE stations, with clinical year dental students serving as tutors and preclinical dental students simulating patients. This approach not only enhances the learning experience but also pre-exposes preclinical students to the OSCE format, preparing them for future assessments. Following the stations, sessions conclude with tips and tricks for mastering OSCE-type examinations. This collaborative platform provides a two-way learning experience, benefiting participants, tutors, and simulated patients.

There will be 3 mock OSCE stations in every group, and after that tips and tricks in practice for the OSCE-type examination will be covered. We hope that both the participants and tutors can benefit from this two-way learning process.
